Construction is nearing completion on 1 Wythe Avenue, a seven-story commercial building within the Greenpoint-Williamsburg Industrial Business Zone (IBZ) in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by StudiosC, the 97-foot-tall project structure spans 78,842 square feet. Of this total, approximately 41,000 square feet is devoted to light manufacturing on the cellar, first, and fourth floors. The remainder will be allotted for offices. The property is bounded by Banker Street, North 15th Street, and Wythe Avenue.
The building stands nearly fully clad in its red brick façade and grid of mullion-free floor-to-ceiling windows. The sixth-floor setback is lined with glass railings, as is the roof of the three-story volume that extends southeast toward the confluence of North 15th and Banker Streets. Separating this low-rise extension from the main building is a contrasting section with a glass curtain wall and gray concave spandrels. Some scaffolding and sidewalk barriers are still standing as work wraps up on the ground floor and the remaining gaps in the façade, which should conclude in the coming weeks.
The below renderings highlight various street-level perspectives of the building and the landscaped terraces that will eventually occupy its setbacks.
The nearest subway from the property is the G train at the Nassau Avenue station to the east.
YIMBY expects construction at 1 Wythe Avenue to wrap up by the end of the year.
