Construction is progressing on 181 North 6th Street, a four-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The single-family structure has a total buildable square footage of 2,300 square feet and will include a cellar level. The property, which was purchased by Tom Michaeli from Berish Wagschal two years ago for $1.185 million, is located on a narrow interior lot by the corner of North 6th Street and Driggs Avenue. It’s unclear who the architect is.
The steel-framed superstructure stands topped out with metal studs beginning to frame out the main southern elevation, and the blank western lot-line wall is enclosed in insulation boards. The rear northern profile features a setback on level four, and will most likely serve as a terrace. Façade installation has yet to begin.
The following black and white elevation diagram posted on the info board shows a brick façade surrounding a grid of windows on the main front elevation. The ground floor also appears to feature a garage door. A finalized rendering has yet to be revealed.
The property was formerly vacant, as seen in the below Google Street View image from before the start of work.
181 North 6th Street’s anticipated completion date is slated for winter 2026, as noted on site.

I’m confused that you’re writing construction is completed today. The building has been open and accepting tenants who have moved in a few months ago already. Sounds sketchy if it considered to be done today, but has let people move in a few months ago.
Well I’m confused as to where in the world do you see any mention that the building is complete? Do you not see Michael’s photos showing it clearly under construction???
Joanna, your reading comprehension skills are beyond terrible. Where does it even say this building is complete?
