Permits have been filed for a 25-story mixed-use building at 348 Bowery in Noho, Manhattan. Also addressed as 56 Great Jones Street, the corner lot is located at intersection of Bowery and Great Jones Street, the lot is near the Broadway–Lafayette subway station, served by the B, D, F, and M trains. John Evans of Lonicera Partners is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 275-foot-tall development will yield 203,627 square feet, with 115,074 square feet designated for residential space and 88,553 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 88 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,307 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar.

Fogarty Finger is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

    This will be an improvement no matter what.
    Hopefully the empty corner lot directly across Great Jones St will also get redeveloped. There should be no vacant lots in Manhattan.

  2. If David is happy, I’m happy😅. Back in my drinking daze, at one point I literally wound up at the Bowery Mission, that was many moons ago, but I thought everything had already been “re-developed” in that area, the photo of the one story garage, etc, is hard to comprehend in 2026 Manhattan, i’m surprised they are only going up 26 stories, but 26 is better than the “squalor” that used to be synonymous with “the Bowery”, even referenced in the A.A. Big Book.
