Reminds me of the buildings in that area constructed in the 1920s. It fits in nicely.
Except they cut corners and installed square windows where they should have been curved. Disappointing.
Do you mean flat glass? I don’t think even the most classic of the classic Bronx apartment buildings withe curved facades had curved glass windows. Radius windows are have always been super expensive.
What a shame they changed the facade’s color. The red bricks are not appealing at all.
But the design is perfect, the rendering would have fitted in alongside the art deco scene.
More like these, please.
I know it’s a low bar but good job on the developer for making the effort of considering aesthetics
That’s actually a handsome building. It’s partly subsidized and partly market rate. But it looks better than some new buildings in the area that have a higher percentage of market rate units. They need to hire those architects to do more buildings in The Bronx – lol
See what some simple curvature can do!
Farms with an s.
Beautiful building. Same block (quiet) where my Mom lived for years. Across from the Bronx Zoo.Too bad it doesn’t provide parking for the tenants specially disabled people like me.
Is that first image the kitchen, or some sort of open-plan living room-kitchen combo mistake?
Nice to see pricing below 130 % AMI for a change.
