These photos, taken from 50 floors up, give a better perspective on the scale of the new World Trade Center complex. While One World Trade clearly dominates Lower Manhattan, Four World Trade is also starting to make a major impact. The base of Three World Trade is also visible, just beginning to peek above the street-scape.
Besides the new World Trade Center, 8 Spruce Street is also very prominent in the skyline. Designed by Frank Gehry, the tower is the tallest residential building in the city, at 870 feet. While its reign at the top will be short-lived–One57 should be passing that mark very shortly–it still makes a major impression on the Lower Manhattan skyline, and is particularly remarkable at sunrise and sunset.
