Related has updated The Hudson Yards website with formal addresses; the North and South Towers will soon be known as 30 and 10 Hudson Yards, respectively.
The change comes with new renderings of the north tower, which will be the tallest of the development’s buildings. Designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, it will stand 1,337 feet; when complete, it will likely rank among Manhattan’s five tallest skyscrapers.
Visual House produced the images, and they depict both 30 Hudson Yards and the surrounding retail complex, which will be the key to invigorating the neighborhood with pedestrians. Beyond the shopping, Related will also build a yet-to-be-revealed ‘monumental sculpture,’ which – along with the Culture Shed – will anchor the outdoor realm.
Time Warner has agreed to move to the 80-story tower, and it is expected to open in 2018; construction will soon begin. 10 Hudson Yards is already underway, and the DS+R/Adrian Smith-designed towers will soon follow; those buildings have been renamed 15 and 35 Hudson Yards, respectively.
