Designed by GF55 Architects and developed by SMJ Development with BFC Partners and New Destiny Housing, the structure yields 69 residences and 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 69 units for residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $57,326 to $85,920.

A new 21-story high-rise is expected to come to Jamaica, as reported by YIMBY yesterday. This is not uncommon for the Queens neighborhood, but 153-19 Jamaica Avenue will be different, and today we have the first renderings for the building. Permits have been filed for a 21-story mixed-use high-rise at 153-19 Jamaica Avenue, in Jamaica, Queens. The neighborhood has seen a spike in new development since the city announced an action plan to stimulate the local economy. The site is two blocks away from the Jamaica Center subway station, serviced by the E, J, and Z trains. Brooklyn-based BFC Partners will be responsible for the development. The firm is most notable for being part of the joint ventures responsible for the redevelopment of the Bedford Union Armory and Essex Crossing.
