Updated renderings have been revealed for 475 Bay Street, a 12-story affordable housing property in Stapleton, Staten Island. Designed by GF55 Partners and developed by BFC Partners, the 250,000-square-foot structure will yield 269 units.
Permits have been filed for a 12-story community facility building at 2351 Walton Avenue in Fordham Heights, The Bronx. Located between East 183rd and East 184th Streets, the interior lot is one block north of the 183rd Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Non-profit Urban Resource Institute, a provider of homeless and domestic violence shelter services, is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Demolition preparations have yet to begin at 339-345 East 33rd Street in Kips Bay, future site of a 23-story mixed-use building from GF55 Architects and Excel Development. Located between First and Second Avenues, the property would span 150,000 square feet and contain 173 residential units, as well as two levels of commercial space on the ground floor and cellar. Excel reportedly completed a large air rights deal in December to facilitate the development.
500 West 25th Street is beginning to reveal more of its Alabama Limestone and glass envelope as the scaffolding comes down. Located at the corner of West 25th Street and Tenth Avenue in Chelsea immediately to the east of the High Line, the ten-story residential building is designed by GF55 Partners and being developed by GDS Development. L’Observatoire International is in charge of the façade lighting.
Construction is moving along on the topped-out residential structure at 500 West 25th Street in Chelsea. Most of the windows are installed, but a considerable amount of exterior work still remains to be completed before the scaffolding and black construction netting is ready to come down. GF55 Partners is the architect of record and GDS Development is developing the ten-story building, which is located next to the High Line at the corner of West 25th Street and Tenth Avenue.
