LPC Approves Rooftop Addition At 370 Adelphi Street In Fort Greene, Brooklyn

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) has approved proposals to renovate a three-story townhouse at 370 Adelphi Street in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Historic District. Drawings submitted to the LPC only specify alterations at the rear of the property with a rooftop addition and do not propose any changes to the face of the structure along Adelphi Street. The building was purchased by Sarah McNally, the founder of McNally Jackson Books, for around $2.53 million in 2019.

Permits have been filed for a 13-story mixed-use building at 142 South Portland Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located between Hanson Place and Academy Park Place, the lot is two blocks west of the LIRR Atlantic Terminal and Atlantic Avenue-Barclay Center subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, and R trains. Michael T. Rooney under the South Portland LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Brooklyn’s 475 Clermont Cleared for Occupancy, in Fort Greene

Developer RXR Realty and construction partner BCG recently celebrated their first temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO) at 475 Clermont, a 12-story development in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The 363-unit, 400,000-square-foot structure contains a mix of residential homes and retail space. The TCO comes one month ahead of schedule and will allow occupancy to occur two months earlier than originally planned. Aufgang Architects is behind the design for the mixed-use rental building, which will contain 73 units for affordable housing and below-market rates.

CWB Architects Reveals Renderings of Clermont Rowhouses in Fort Greene Historic District

The Landmarks Preservation Commission will review proposals from CWB Architects to construct a row of five identical townhomes in the Fort Greene Historic District. Located along Clermont Avenue, the property addresses range from 352 to 360 Clermont Avenue and would replace an existing one-story parking structure and a surrounding parking lot.

Renderings Revealed for 137 Carlton Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Construction has kicked off at 137 Carlton Ave in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Gama Holdings, current owners of the property, has confirmed that foundation work will wrap up this week. The company also released new renderings of the development that reveal the building’s elegant rear design, residential terraces, and a rear yard.
