A Brooklyn-based property owner has filed applications for a four-story, 10-unit residential building at 1544 Nostrand Avenue, in Flatbush. The project will measure 8,893 square feet and its residential units should average 889 square feet apiece. Two apartments on the fourth floor will also feature space in an upper penthouse level. It’s unclear whether the units will be rentals or condominiums. Michael Avramides’s Midtown East-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 3,285-square-foot site is occupied by a three-story residential structure. Demolition permits were recently filed.

Tishman Realty is planning a $65 million renovation on the four-story, 240,000-square-foot commercial-retail building at 247 West 42nd Street, in the Times Square section of Midtown. The property owner plans to keep some existing tenants while replacing others, Crain’s reported. Construction is expected in 2018, with occupancy anticipated in 2019.
