Permits for two new four-story buildings at 1111-1115 Decatur Street were filed this week, and today, YIMBY has the first look at renderings. Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the proposed residences are three blocks south of the Wilson Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. According to the permits, owners for 1111 Decatur Street and 1115 Decatur Street are Chaim Landau and David Banda, respectively.
Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 435 West 48th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Located between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, the interior development site is directly across from the Clinton Community Garden. Hell’s Kitchen Park is steps away, on the corner of 9th Avenue and West 48th Street. Nearby transit access is provided courtesy of the 50th Street subway station and the C and E trains, at 8th Avenue. 111 West 57th Street is nearing the upper section of its topmost residential and mechanical floors. With a height to width ratio of 24:1, the SHoP Architects-designed tower will soon become the most slender building in the world. It is the 2nd-tallest skyscraper under construction in New York City, and will soon climb to an 1,438-foot-high pinnacle between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. The supertall is being developed by JDS Development and Property Markets Group, and Douglas Elliman is in charge of sales and marketing for the 46 condominiums within.
Permits have been filed for a new 50-story tower at 1780 First Avenue, in Yorkville, Manhattan, adjacent to where the New York City Housing Authority‘s John Haynes Holmes Towers currently stand. Located at the corner of 1st Avenue and East 93rd Street, the two buildings presently on the site were built in 1968 and have 537 units across 25 floors with a gross square footage of 386,322. The nearest transit access is two city blocks north at the 96th Street – 2nd Avenue station, courtesy of the N and Q trains.
