Over the summer, YIMBY revealed renderings for Related Companies’ planned 13-story, 47-unit residential building at 70 Vestry Street (aka 264 West Street), in Tribeca, and now the developer has landed $200 million in construction loans, provided by Bank of America. The building will measure 154,019 square feet in total, and includes roughly 800 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Robert A.M. Stern is designing, while Ismael Leyva is serving as the architect of record. Demolition permits have already been approved to raze the site’s existing tenement and low-rise buildings.

Landmarks Says No To Design Of Hotel Proposed For 456 Greenwich Street

It was in November that the Landmarks Preservation Commission approved altering a 1942 garage building at 456 Greenwich Street (at the corner of Desbrosses Street) and turn it into a restaurant. Well, things have changed and the proposal is now to demolish the existing building and build a hotel that will stretch out of the Tribeca North Historic District.

Revealed: 70 Vestry Street, 13-Story Tribeca Condo Project

UPDATE: A tipster sends word that while Ismael Leyva is the architect of record, Robert A.M. Stern is the design architect.

Last September, YIMBY reported on the first permits for a new 13-story building coming to 70 Vestry Street, in Tribeca, right next to the West Side Highway. Since then, the site’s two existing structures have been torn down, and we can now reveal the first rendering for the project, which is being designed by Ismael Leyva Architects.
