Construction has officially kicked off at 15 Monteith Street, a new affordable housing complex in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located within the sprawling Rheingold Brewery redevelopment zone, the project will debut as Rheingold Senior Residences and create 94 apartments for low-income seniors.
This month, construction broke ground for Casa Celina, a 205-unit affordable housing development for seniors in the Soundview section of The Bronx. The development site is located at the corner of Watson and Thieriot Avenues and is the latest addition to the Justice Sonia Sotomayor housing complex.
Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 39 West 128th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located between Fifth Avenue and Lenox Avenue, the site is three blocks north of the 125th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Taso Vassiliou of non-profit developer The Bridge Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction has officially topped out at The Bedford, a new 13-story affordable housing development in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx. The property is located at 211 East 203rd Street and will eventually contain 108 rental apartment units.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 650 DeKalb Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Nostrand Avenue and Marcy Avenue, the interior lot is two blocks north of the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
