Sales have officially launched at 720 West End Avenue, a new residential property located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The development, led by Glacier Equities and InterVest Capital Partners, transforms a 1927 Emery Roth-designed pre-war building into 131 contemporary residences. Units in the property are priced from approximately $1 million to over $12 million.

Originally built to be the Hotel Marcy, 720 West End Avenue is undergoing a complete interior redesign by Thomas Juul-Hansen and exterior restoration by BP Architects. The classic Renaissance Revival-style façade is being renovated to preserve its intricate architectural features, while two new floors are being added for penthouse duplexes with outdoor space.

The residences offer a mix of one- to five-bedroom homes, including townhouse duplexes and penthouses with private terraces, ranging from approximately 500 to over 3,700 square feet. The interiors strike a balance between pre-war and contemporary design, and boast views of the Hudson River and the city skyline. Kitchens will feature custom cabinetry, Namibia Rose marble countertops, and professional-grade appliances.

720 West End Avenue will offer approximately 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities for its future residents, including a fitness center, a children’s playroom, a private bar and dining room, a library, co-working spaces, outdoor terraces and courtyards, and a music room. Notably, the building will also offer private parking and bike storage.

The building is located in close proximity to Riverside Park, Central Park, and several museums. It is also a short walk from subway stations servicing the 1, 2, and 3 trains.

“720 West End Avenue presents a unique opportunity for buyers to call this one-of-a-kind property and piece of New York City’s architectural history home in one of Manhattan’s most beloved neighborhoods,” said Myles Horn, managing partner of Glacier Equities. “We set out to create a new chapter for this iconic development that has been modernized for city living today while retaining the original charm and historical significance of its past as a cornerstone property on West End Avenue. We are proud to offer a thoroughly extraordinary new residential offering to the neighborhood.”
