New Renderings: 432 Park Really IS That Tall

While vague massing diagrams and height information have existed for 432 Park for quite some time, the New York Observer has finally broken the drought of images for the building. The renderings paint an interesting–and an extremely tall–picture. 432 Park completely dominates the Midtown skyline, double the height of nearby icons like the Sony Building, Trump Tower, and the Solow Building. Looming is the word that first comes to mind when viewing the photos.

Despite an onslaught of criticism against the design, the only obstacle the project faces in the way of completion is the securing of financing, which should not be a problem given the massive demand for luxury units in New York. The views offered by 432 Park–which will be the city’s tallest by roof–are certainly something no other building can offer, as even the almost topped-out One57 is four hundred feet shorter. As of mid-June, construction of 432 Park’s foundation is continuing quickly, although no date for completion has been formally announced.

  1. Isn’t 432 Park Avenue scheduled for completion by 2016? It’s what I read in another article.

  2. There have been rumors but I haven’t read any press releases yet. I would assume either 2015 or 2016, though, as the foundation is now well underway.
