These photos of One World Trade Center are from this past Saturday, and you can see the cladding is nearing completion. The last picture shows the temporary structure on the building’s roof the best, which will be used for installation of the antenna and communications ring.
Completion of the antenna and ring has been put in jeopardy by allegations from the Canadian company building the antenna. The company claims the Port Authority is behind on payment from another project.
If the dispute is not resolved in a timely manner, the current schedule–the antenna is expected to begin arriving by barge in November–will be delayed, as the St. Lawrence river freezes over during the winter. That could mean installation would have to wait til the spring of 2013.

Although I wish that One World Trade Center would have a handsome twin; building four or five highrises on the site along with other skyscrapers being done in downtown and midtown Manhattan could make up for the missing companion.
