After another accident last week, construction has again resumed at 432 Park Avenue. The core has risen to the eighth floor, and the perimeter walls are up to the fifth level.
New renderings of 432 Park have also been released. The building’s units are expected to sell for a collective $2.7 billion dollars, an insane amount of money. Developers seem to be banking on the building’s incredible views, which will go unrivaled until the completion of Extell’s Nordstrom Tower. The bland design of 432 Park certainly doesn’t merit such extraordinary prices.
One-third of the tower’s units are already under contract, which is remarkable considering the building’s average asking price of $6,742 per square foot. Foreign buyers are believed to be the primary drivers behind the building’s sales, which makes sense given the obscene pricing and so-so location. 432 Park’s expected completion date is 2015.
