One57’s glass continues to make progress, and the tower’s cladding is almost complete – the ‘fan’ element along the northern side is now plainly visible, and it will mark the tower’s pinnacle as a distinguished light fixture. Though the skyscraper will be overshadowed by neighboring buildings in the coming years – even 105 West 57th, which is on the same block, is expected to rise a similar height – the crown should guarantee continued prominence on the New York skyline, at least at night time.
