New condos are growing at 366-370 Gates Avenue in the heart of Bed-Stuy, and we have the first look at the new project.
Developer Tower Real Estate Investments sent along a rendering and details on their four-story, three-building development. The complex is under construction between Bedford and Nostrand avenues, five blocks from the Bedford-Nostrand G train stop.
The finished buildings will hold 16 apartments – eight two-bedroom, two-baths and eight one-bedrooms. They’ll be divided across 15,800 square feet, giving us an average unit size of nearly 1,000 square feet.
The apartments will be fairly high-end for the neighborhood. The developers promise they’ll be equipped with “smart wiring” that allows the buyer to wirelessly connect and control their thermostat, speakers, and security cameras from their phone.
The architects of record are Suresh Manchanda’s L&C Associates.
Construction is already underway on the two-bedrooms at 368 and 370, and they’re expected to be finished by the end of 2016. 366 Gates was just filed in March and scheduled to wrap in early- to mid-2017.
Tower bought 368 and 370 Gates – two wood-frame houses – for a combined $1.2 million last year, and the vacant lot at 366 just sold for $1.1 million in January.
