Another day, another new building in Crown Heights. Today’s crop of filings brought plans for a five-story, 16-unit development at 701 Prospect Place, between Bedford and Rogers Avenues.

The five-story, mixed-use development would replace two warehouses and a three-story apartment building on Prospect and a garage around the corner on Bedford. The building would have 16 apartments, stacked on top of 5,600 square feet of commercial space. And the apartments would be spread across 12,257 square feet of residential space, with typical, rental-sized units measuring 760 square feet.

Two retail spaces would occupy the ground floor, followed by three to five units apiece on each of the upper floors. There would also be an eight-car garage in the cellar, which is included to satisfy zoning requirements.

Joseph Segreti of Column A Realty is the developer, and he’s hired Great Neck-based Arnold Montag of AM/PM Design to handle the architecture.

The development site includes five lots, which were purchased in separate sales between 1985 and 2001.

YIMBY recently revealed a building planned a block away at 786 Park Place, and Dumbo-based architect and developer Alex Barrett is developing a small condo project across the street at 762 Park Place.
