Permits have been filed for a new four-story building at 104-14 Liverpool Street, in Jamaica, Queens. The building is being developed by the American Bengali Hindu Foundation, and will be their new house of worship. The project will be a big improvement from their current situation, which is located within an open-air tent.

The 42-foot tall building will create 10,900 square feet of community facilities. Two of the floors are the cellar and basement. All four floors will be for religious purposes, including three apartments on the second floor.Anthony Cucich R.A. will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits have not been filed. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
