Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building to be built at 2-29 Beach 14th Street, in Far Rockaway, Queens. The project replaces a derelict 2-story house. The site is about a mile away from the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue subway station, the last stop for the A train. The Far Rockaway LIRR station is another five blocks from the subway. Red Group Management will be responsible for the development.
The 50-foot tall structure will yield 13,570 square feet, with 11,210 square feet dedicated to residential use. The project will create fifteen apartments, averaging 747 square feet apiece, and Shmuel D. Flaum Architect will be responsible for the design.
The site will create parking spaces with total capacity for 13 vehicles. Storage for up to eight bicycles will also be available.
Demolition permits were filed in March. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
