Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 957 Grand Street, in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site is three blocks away from the Grand Street Subway Station, serviced by the L train. Right past the Subway Station is an active strip of stores, restaurants, and bars. Mures Corporation will be responsible for the development.
The 50-foot tall structure will yield 8,000 square feet, with 6,500 square feet dedicated to residential use. That area is to be divided between 8 apartments, averaging 812 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Commercial space is included on the first floor, with capacity for ten persons.
Gerald J. Caliendo Architects will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits have not been filed, and an expected completion date has not been announced.
