Developer Mordechai Kohn has submitted pre-filings for a four-story residential building at 1259 51st Street, in Borough Park, Brooklyn. The area is predominantly residential, with most buildings along the avenues containing commercial-retail space on ground floor. The site is three blocks away from the 50th Street Subway Station, serviced by the D train.
The 45-foot tall structure will yield 8,800 square feet of residential space. Tenants will have access to a laundry room and storage below-grade, in the cellar. Eight apartments will occupy the rest of the building, averaging 1,100 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums.
Alberto Roman Tech Engineering will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits were filed for a three-story structure in July of 2015.

Don’t think I ever saw that style of windows and doorway before.
