Permits have been filed for a three-story commercial building at 559 Park Avenue, in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, near the neighborhood’s border with Williamsburg. The site is four blocks away from the Flushing Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. The NYC Department of Sanitation is responsible for the development.
The 45-foot tall structure will yield 134,680 square feet for commercial use. The development will include offices, locker rooms, file archives, training rooms, and a setup for vehicle repair and heavy vehicle storage. 75 parking spaces will be included on site.
Dattner Architects is responsible for the design.
The lot is currently being used as a parking lot, meaning construction can begin quickly. Permits are still pending approval, and the estimated completion date has not been announced.
