Permits have been filed for a 16-story long-term care facility at 1508 Avenue Z, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The site is just two blocks away from the Sheepshead Bay subway station, serviced by the B and Q trains. SB1 Holdings LLC is listed as responsible for the development.
The 188-foot tall structure will yield 49,700 square feet, with 3,130 square feet dedicated to medical facilities, 3,950 square feet for ground floor retail shops, and 42,620 square feet for residential use. 78 apartments will be created, averaging 546 square feet apiece. Residents will benefit from open terraces on the third floor, eleventh floor, and rooftop.
Citiscape Consulting LTC is listed as responsible for the design.
The lot is currently vacant, meaning construction can start as soon as permits are approved. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
