A new four-story residential building is coming to the intersection of Boerum Street and Bushwick Place at 217 Boerum Street, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Mordechai Schwimmer is the developer, and the site is currently a fenced-off open space.
There will be a 500 square foot community facility in the cellar level. A 1,000 square foot commercial space will be on the ground floor, as well as one residential unit. On the second and third floor, three units will share the floor plan. One duplex penthouse will sit between the third and the fourth floor.
Of 11,060 total square feet, 7,300 square feet will be dedicated to 10 residential units spread amongst the four floors. When complete, the structure will stand 55 feet tall, and Jeffrey Orling is serving as the architect of record.
The site is located two blocks south of the Montrose Avenue subway stop on the L train, and is a ten minute walk to the Flushing Avenue subway station on the J and M trains, which follow Broadway and crosses into Manhattan via the Williamsburg Bridge.
A completion date for the project has yet to be announced.
