YIMBY has an exclusive new rendering for 100 Franklin in Tribeca, the latest venuture by developer DDG. Known as the JR Building and located between West Broadway and Sixth Avenue, the project is named after the street art installations by French graffiti artist JR that once stood on-site. Comprised of two triangular structures, the project will yield 10 spacious condominiums, with retail also situated on the ground floor.
The two mixed-use buildings are six and eight stories tall, and at their narrowest points, they will be two feet wide. Amenities include a fitness center, residential storage, and direct elevator entry. The hand-laid facade will be comprised of bricks by Denmark’s Petersen Tegl, masonry detailing, and greenery incorporated into the design by DDG. Keeping in line with its artsy past, DDG commissioned Charlotte Taylor, a Paris-based artist, to create pieces to be installed with the new residences.
100 Franklin was originally expected to be completed by 2017 but is still in the works. Sales are slated to launch in February 2019, with pricing starting at approximately $3.3M for units. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing has been named the exclusive sales and marketing agent for the residences.
