Permits have been filed for a new 10-unit apartment building at 102-37 Jamaica Avenue, in Woodhaven, Queens. The proposed development will have six stories, with community facilities on the first floor and cellar level. Located between 102nd Street and 104th Street on Jamaica Avenue, the 104th Street subway station serviced by the J and Z trains is steps away from the residential project. Vinod Monga is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The steel-based development will yield 12,275 square feet, with 1,452 square feet designated to commercial space and 7,170 square feet allotted to residential space. 10 units will be created, averaging 717 square feet each in the 60-foot tall structure. Due to the average scope, these residences will most likely be rentals. There is also a rear yard 35 feet long.
Gerald J Caliendo Architect PC is responsible for the design.
Full demolition permits were pre-filed in August of 2018. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
