Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 80-12 Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven, Queens. Located between 80th Street and Forest Parkway, the interior lot is two blocks west of the 85 Street-Forest Parkway subway station, serviced by the J train. Morris Zakaria of Zak Realty LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 8,894 square feet, with 6,640 square feet designated for residential space and 520 square feet for commercial space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 664 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 15-foot-long rear yard.
Bahram Tehrani of Best Engineering Technology is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed for the single-story medical office on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
