Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 84-14 Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven, Queens. Located between Maria Thomson Way and 85th Street, the interior lot is five blocks east of the 75th Street-Elderts Lane subway station, serviced by the J and Z trains. Ding Yin Yu of SMD Realty Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 73-foot-tall development will yield 40,552 square feet, with 22,749 square feet designated for residential space and 4,329 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 34 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 669 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 38-foot-long rear yard, and 15 enclosed parking spaces.
Michael Kang Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
