Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 1644 New York Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Glenwood Road and Avenue H, the lot is three blocks east of the Flatbush Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Brandon Benilevi under the Manou Holdings LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 33,274 square feet, with 24,544 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 36 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 681 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and 12 enclosed parking spaces.
Edmond Hakimian is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in March of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
