Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 131-78 40th Road in Flushing, Queens. Located between Delong Street and College Point Boulevard, the lot is also known as 40-40 College Point Boulevard. The nearest subway station is Main Street, serviced by the 7 train. Chang Biao Zheng under the G & Z CPB Realty LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 93-foot-tall development will yield 21,111 square feet, with 11,417 square feet designated for commercial space, 4,036 square feet for residential space, and 683 square feet of community facilities. The building will have 32 residences, although it’s not clear if these will be dormitories or hotel rooms.

Michael Kang Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in May of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Working on land, it’s easier than working on high waves in the sea. I think you’re working on the land to report details on progress, or maybe you secretly write a report on a warship. (Hello New York YIMBY)

  2. Downtown Flushing has been destroyed, ever since the RKO Keith’s was decimated. I avoid it at all costs, now CP Blvd is going to be even worse. Getting around Flushing, even using the stupid SBS buses is ridiculous. Another neighborhood worth avoiding. When I tell people where I live, I say Flushing, like the toilet. And that’s what is has become a toilet!
