Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 1730 Ocean Avenue in Midwood, Brooklyn. Located between Avenue L and Avenue M, the lot is six blocks from the Avenue J subway station, serviced by the Q train. Eddie Yair under the 1730 Ocean Avenue Development LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 27,781 square feet, with 23,986 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 35 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 685 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have 17 enclosed parking spaces.

Francisco Nunez of Studio Gallos is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  4. Ave J (Q train) station is indeed 6 blocks away, but Ave M (Q train) station is only 3 blocks away. Anyway, all these private houses on ocean Avenue are getting bought up one by one and luxury priced building with balconies are taking its place.
