Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 1800 Ocean Avenue in Midwood, Brooklyn. Located between Avenue M and Bay Avenue, the lot is four blocks east of the Avenue M subway station, serviced by the Q train. Jacob Zimmerman of Rogers Builders is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 25,116 square feet, with 20,667 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 30 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 680 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 33-foot-long rear yard.
Scibilia A. Thomas of N.A. Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in April of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

It’s just like it happened yesterday, the bad and the loss never disappeared from my memory. I think you know what I mean. (Hello New York YIMBY)
No parking facilities is a mistake for a new building in this neighborhood. Many of the new tenants will own cars and will end up taking up already scare on-street parking spaces.
