Permits have been filed for a 21-story commercial building, part of phase 3 of the Alexandria Center for Life Science, at 500 East 30th Street in Kips Bay, Manhattan. The through lot is located west of Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive. The nearest subway is the 33rd Street station, serviced by the 6 train. NYC Health + Hospitals is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 384-foot-tall development will yield 587,137 square feet, with 417,734 square feet designated for commercial space. It appears this building will be part of the life-sciences campus located between East 29th and East 30th Street. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar.
Nickolas Zigomanis of Adamson Associates Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
