Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 2246 Clarendon Road in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between East 22nd Street and East 23rd Street, the interior lot is a few blocks west of the Beverly Road and Newkirk Avenue subway stations, both serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Altaf Syed-Naqvi is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 16,020 square feet, with 11,998 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 14 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 857 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, parking on the grade level, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Brooklyn-based Pencilcopy Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
