Located between East 172nd Street and East 173rd Street, the interior lot is a short walk to the 174 Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Nonprofit The Bridge under the 1559 Boone Avenue HDFC Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 47,763 square feet, with 35,925 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 66 residences, with an average unit scope of 544 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard. It is unclear if any services or amenities will be offered to residents by The Bridge.
Andrew Knox of Edelman Sultan Knox Wood Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
