Earlier this week, Camber Property Group launched a housing lottery for 94 newly constructed homes within Victory Plaza. Located at 11 West 118th Street in Central Harlem, the entire building comprises 136 affordable mixed-income units.
The lottery is exclusively available to seniors, including a percentage reserved for the mobility, hearing, and vision impaired. A total of 41 units will also be set aside for formerly homeless seniors.
“As we build affordable housing throughout the city, it is critical to focus on vulnerable populations, such as our seniors and the formerly homeless,” said Camber Property Group principal and co-founder Rick Gropper. “Camber is deeply invested in the future of our city, and projects like Victory Plaza will set the example for responsible, inclusive development that improves the lives of New Yorkers.”

Occupants will also have access to an outdoor recreation area, laundry facilities, and bicycle docking stations. The Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement will occupy community space on the lower level of the building offering services related to financial security, health and wellness, and isolation prevention.
Designed by Aufgang Architects, the $65 million project was financed by the New York City Housing Development Corporation, the Department of Housing Preservation & Development, and Wells Fargo.
