Canopy, a new concept by Hilton, recently debuted in the heart of Jersey City’s vibrant Arts District. Located at 159 Morgan Street, the new hotel includes 211 guestrooms, a coworking lounge, formal meeting space, a 24-hour fitness center, and an on-site bar and bistro for entertainment and easy dining.

Developers responsible for the property include Panepinto Properties, The KABR Group, Three Wall Capital, and Greentree Construction.

As a tribute to the Jersey City Arts District, Canopy by Hilton showcases a collection of works from local artists that were selected by Stefania Panepinto of Panepinto Galleries. Panepinto’s selections include large murals by Ricardo Roig and Jenna Morello, a rotating presentation of works at the Canopy Bar & Bistro, limited edition silkscreen prints by Gary Lichtenstein in hotel guestrooms, original acrylic paintings by Candy Le Sueur, and handmade cyanotype prints by Tatsuro Nishimura.

Canopy Central Art Studios, one of the property’s signature communal guest spaces, will host live painting and creative sessions with local talent.

“As one of the most culturally diverse cities in the nation, Jersey City has an exciting and vibrant art scene that grows stronger and larger each year,” Panepinto said. “We wanted to make sure our guests were able to see and feel the energy of the neighborhood through our eclectic arts program.”

“We look forward to introducing the Canopy by Hilton lifestyle to the Tri-State and immersing locals and guests in the culture of this burgeoning neighborhood of the Arts District,” said Ravi Dave, principal at Three Wall Capital. “We’re proud to finally deliver a hospitality product that speaks to the neighborhood’s urban sophistication and cultural diversity.”
