Work is continuing on “The Alfred on Fleet,” a 12-story residential building at 112 Fleet Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 167 Willoughby Street, the project is designed by Bricolage Design Associates and developed by Boomerang Development Group and will yield 24,250 square feet and 23 condominium units.
Recent photographs show the building in mostly the same state as it was during our last visit in April, though it’s difficult to gauge the progress of work with the degree of scaffolding obscuring the façade.
The site is located at the northwestern corner of Fleet Place and Willoughby Street and was formerly occupied by a four-story building. The Alfred on Fleet is planned to have no more than two condos per floor and residential amenities including a communal rooftop deck, bicycle storage, and on-site parking. The rendering seen in our last YIMBY article shows a façade of earth-toned brick masonry walls on the ground floor, followed by a contrasting dark gray surface surrounding floor-to-ceiling windows and wide stacked balconies with glass railings. A cornice line caps the flat roof parapet.
The closest subways to 112 Fleet Street are the B, Q, and R trains at the DeKalb Avenue station underneath the CityPoint complex; the 2 and 3 trains at the corner of Hoyt Street and Fulton Street; and the R to the west along Willoughby Street at the Jay Street-MetroTech station.
YIMBY expects The Alfred on Fleet to be completed and open in 2021.
