The affordable housing lottery is open for Mother Gaston Hinsdale Homes, 70 residential units for sale across 17 buildings in New Lots and Brownsville, Brooklyn. The two- and three-bedroom residences are being built under NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development‘s Neighborhood Infill Housing Opportunities Program and are only available to first-time owners. Available on NYC Housing Connect are the 70 homes for residents at 90 to 120 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $62,464 to $169,200.
Each unit has energy-efficient appliances, washer/dryer hook up, and separate utilities for rental units.
A minimum down payment of five percent of the sales price is required at the time of contract signing. In addition,
closing costs estimated at five percent of the sales price will be required to close. Prospective buyers must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments.
Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 19, 2021.
