GF55 Architects has released final exterior renderings of 8 Palmetto Street, a new mixed-use residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Broadway and Palmetto Street, the new property stands seven stories tall and comprises nearly 104,000 square feet.
The mix of components includes 88 rental units, a ground-floor supermarket, community facilities, and a parking garage designed to accommodate 100 vehicles.
The residential component, measuring nearly 65,000 square feet, will occupy the majority of the building. Considering those measurements, the average unit size is around 812 square feet apiece. Beyond outdoor roof space, it is unclear what additional amenities will be included when the building officially debuts.
Community facilities will occupy 20,000 square feet of the property and will contain a healthcare or medical services provider. Commercial area ranks third at just over 18,000 square feet.

The property, alternatively referred to as 1389 Broadway, represents one of the latest residential developments from Ekstein Development Group. Additional developments include the Morris Adjmi’s 30 East 31st Street and 140 West 81st Street in Manhattan, and The Dutch at 25-19 43rd Avenue in Long Island City.
