The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1489-1495 Brooklyn Avenue, two four-story residential buildings in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Asher Hershkowitz Architect, each structure yields eight units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $73,715 to $167,570.
Units will have energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, and either patios or balconies. Residents will also have access to a rooftop terrace.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are six two-bedrooms with a $2,150 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $73,715 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than July 19, 2021.
