“With our capital improvement program at 95 Columbus, we set out to create Jersey City’s most contemporary, productive, and inspired work environment, and a place where 21st century creative companies can thrive,” said David Cheikin, senior vice president, asset management and leasing for Columbia. “We believe 95 Columbus will be a magnet for forward-looking companies seeking a premier office experience with the convenience and energy of its prime Grove Street neighborhood location, as well as its unparalleled easy transit access to suburban neighborhoods around the area.”

To create welcoming spaces in the building’s common areas, improvements were made to the lobby including updated sleek gray floors, a double-height glass entryway, 35-foot ceiling spans, concrete panel walls, contemporary accent lighting, and a new reception desk. The entrance of 95 Columbus also has new metal cladding, integrated lighting, and a glass curtain wall.

The second phase of the renovations will create a lounge area in the lobby with greenery, seating, and Wi-Fi access. There will also be a large bike storage room, as well as a bathroom and showers. In addition, 95 Columbus is getting an air filtration system, automated digital access for elevators, and portal entries that require minimal touch points for tenants.

Cushman & Wakefield is handling 95 Columbus’ marketing for office tenants and retail. Highlights include large floor plates, over 13-foot ceiling spans, and proximity to transit including the neighboring Grove Street PATH station, the Hudson-Bergen light rail, and the New York Waterway ferry.

All renovations are expected to reach completion this fall.
