The affordable housing lottery has launched for the Alexander Lofts, three residential buildings at 308 East 134th Street and 139 and 141 Alexander Avenues in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Designed by Shahriar Afshari and developed by Jorge Madruga of 20 Bruckner LLC, the four-story structures yields seven to eight residences each. Available on NYC Housing Connect are eight total units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $76,286 to $167,570.
Units features recessed lighting, a granite kitchen with name brand appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, and wine cooler, a marble bathroom, air conditioning, and a washer and dryer.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,225 for incomes ranging from $76,286 to $139,620; and three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,715 for incomes ranging from $93,086 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 30, 2021.
