Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 172-10 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Located between 172nd 173rd Streets, the interior lot is closest to the 169th Street subway station, serviced by the E and F trains. Arshad Jamal of Accentors LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 19,857 square feet, with 18,017 square feet designated for residential space and 1,840 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 25 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 720 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, a 53-foot-long rear yard, and eight enclosed parking spaces.
Mosharraf Hossain of Sead Consulting Engineers is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in 2020 for the two-story multi-unit building on site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
