The affordable housing lottery has launched for 1510 Gates Avenue, an 11-story residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by NY Building Associates Inc. and developed by The Horizon Group, the structure yields 70 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 21 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $61,715 to $167,570.
Residents will have access to a dog washing station, bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, gym, personal storage, recycling station, multiple outdoor spaces including a rooftop terrace, and a garage with electric car charging stations. Units include name-brand appliances and finishes, air conditioning, and hardwood floors.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are five studios with a monthly rent of $1,800 for incomes ranging from $61,715 to $124,150; five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,100 for incomes ranging from $72,000 to $139,620; and 11 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,400 for incomes ranging from $82,286 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than December 1, 2021.
