Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 566 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Lorimer Street and Union Avenue, the interior lot is a few blocks from the Metropolitan Avenue-Lorimer Street subway station, serviced by the G and L trains. Green Street Group under the 566 Grand Street SPE LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 17,283 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 22 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 785 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 22-foot-long rear yard, but no accessory parking.
Diego Aguilera Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2024.
