The affordable housing lottery has launched for Brooklyn Crossing, a 51-story residential building at 18 Sixth Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by The Brodsky Organization, the structure yields 858 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 258 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $65,315 to $167,570.

Residents will have access to a wide range of amenities including 24-hour concierge, doorman, recreation sky lounge and den, children’s playroom, fitness center, business workspace, office suites, library lounge, media/screening room, and rooftop pool. Units include name-brand appliances and finishes, high ceilings, washer and dryers, custom climate controls, and hardwood floors. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 79 studios with a monthly rent of $1,905 for incomes ranging from $65,315 to $124,150; 134 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,390 for incomes ranging from $81,943 to $139,620; and 45 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,344 for incomes ranging from $114,652 to $167,570.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 14, 2022.

    segregation at its best
